We Are Caring is a globally-leading social impact organisation focused on ensuring the ethical recruitment of Migrant Domestic Workers (MDWs), supported by the DBS Foundation. Using advanced smart technology through an online platform and supported by our incredibly passionate team, we have ambitious growth plans against our vision for a world with opportunities for all.

An overview of the role:

The main purpose of this role is to ensure the seamless operational running of our recruitment process between employers and MDWs. You will also work closely with our HR Director on driving key internal initiatives forward. Working as a team, you’ll experience the fast-paced life within a start-up and have a real impact on others.

No experience is necessary, as full training and mentoring will be provided alongside sponsorship of the Certificate of Employment Intermediaries (CEI), but we are looking for individuals who are passionate about people and service, with exceptionally strong communication skills.

  • Supporting our team on the end-to-end recruitment process of MDWs, including:
  • Guiding clients through the hiring journey and advising them on their legal rights and obligations in compliance with the Employment Act and MOM Regulations
  • Supporting MDWs in the attraction and recruitment process, through email, telephone and face-to-face meetings
  • Drafting documentation (including contracts, insurance and other necessary paperwork)
  • Updating our internal databases
  • Provide front line interaction with clients, MDWs and other key stakeholders – greeting in-person guests and leading telephone and email communication
  • Liaison with third-party organisations, including the Ministry of Manpower and Country Embassies
  • Work with our HR Director to drive several key initiatives (depending on your passion and career ambitions)
  • Ad hoc projects as required

Job requirements

  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
  • A key team player, hard working and eager to learn
  • A strong affinity for critical thinking, hands-on execution, problem-solving and results oriented
  • An interest in HR, Recruitment and/or Talent Development
  • Love working and contributing in a fast-paced environment

Why this internship will help you kickstart your career:

  • We fully pay the cost of the Certificate of Employment Intermediaries (CEI)
  • We are a social impact and progressive start-up, using digital technologies applied and working with interesting clients (who you will be able to lead relationships with)
  • You will work as part of a multi-cultural team, where collaboration is at the core of our business
  • You will gain an increase in HR generalist knowledge, abilities and skills
  • We are passionate about our people and are growing fast, so permanent positions may be available after you complete your internship
